Founded in 2005, the Guild Board’s mission is to support
the work of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago (BGCC) by raising
money and awareness about the important role the Clubs play in
kids’ lives throughout the City. The Guild Board is a group
of approximately sixty accomplished professionals in their 30's
and early 40's who are leaders not only in business, but also
in community and civic affairs. Our Members are elected to the
Guild based on an evaluation of their professional success and
their ability to contribute to our mission through fundraising
and other efforts that create support and awareness for BGCC.
To date, the Guild Board has raised over $920,000.00 for the Boys
& Girls Clubs of Chicago. The demographics of Guild Board
has attracted support in the past from corporations and firms
such as Katten Muchin Rosenman, L.L.P., Schwarz Paper Company,
William Blair & Company, JP Morgan Chase, and luxury retailers
such as Ralph Lauren, Tiffany & Co., Salvatore Ferragamo,
Tod’s, and Neiman Marcus. This year the Guild will be hosting
its 6th annual Summer event, The Lawn Ball, at the Saddle &
Cycle Club on Friday, July 23, 2010 which will be sponsored by
Michael Kors.
