Guild Board Fundraising Campaign to Support the Valentine Club
The Guild Board of Boys & Girls Clubs of Chicago has been a committed partner for the last 16 years, raising awareness and funding for BGCC’s mission. This year, due to the pandemic, the Lawn Ball has been canceled. However, knowing BGCC’s children and teens rely on your support, the Guild Board has dedicated a fundraising campaign to sponsor the Valentine Boys & Girls Club in Chicago’s Bridgeport area.
The Valentine Club serves a community where one in three youth live in poverty.
Throughout this last year, the Club has provided hundreds of meals, dropped educational kits at homes and opened as a Remote Learning Center. But there is still more to do. As we look toward the end of the pandemic, new needs have emerged and the Club is ready to once again respond – with your help.
Your support can make these initiatives possible and can come in the form of these opportunities:
$25,000 – covers the cost of a science coordinator and materials for a year OR operates the pool for the summer
$15,000 – purchases 10 laptops for the Technology Center OR funds Club sports leagues for a year
$10,000 – funds teen leadership programs OR launches the dance program
$5,000 – underwrites the cost of art supplies OR supports Club field trips for the year
$2,500 – sponsors the costs for a child to attend the Club for a year
