Earlier this month, we held a renaming celebration at the Club location formerly known as the Louis L. Valentine Boys & Girls Club, which was re-dedicated as the Bartlett J. McCartin Boys & Girls Club!

Bart McCartin's remarkable impact on the children we serve began more than 20 years ago when he first volunteered as a youth mentor at the very Club now renamed in his honor. Recounting his years volunteering, Bart speaks of his time at the Club as a transformative experience that ignited his passion for youth development.

Since then, Bart has served on BGCC's Board of Directors, including a four-year term as Chairman of the Board of Directors, and he currently serves as Chairman Emeritus.

The McCartin family's generosity and dedication to our young people has truly made Chicago a better place.
