School is in session, and BGCC Club members are equipped to start fresh this fall thanks to a very successful back-to-school drive this year!  

In addition to receiving hundreds of individual donations via the BGCC Amazon Wishlist, more than 50 corporations and their employees participated in this year’s drive. 

Children and teens received new backpacks, spiral notebooks, pencils, pens, art supplies, and so much more. The surplus will help restock our Clubs with supplies to use throughout the school year for homework and other activities.  

One of the most successful donation drives involved our partner Notre, a Chicago-based apparel, accessories, and footwear lifestyle boutique. In August, Notre held a school supplies drive at the James R. Jordan Club accepting donated school supplies in exchange for an opportunity to join a raffle for a pair of limited-edition sneakers.  

Other organizations that went above and beyond include Cradles to Crayons, Communities That Care, Boeing, and CVS Health, to name a few, helping BGCC distribute more than 2,000-filled backpacks to students.

After such a challenging year and a half for our kids and teens, it’s incredible to see so many people step up and get them on the right foot to start the school year. Thank you to all who donated!
